SAN ANTONIO, TX -- A little boy is at the center of racist internet bullying after singing the national anthem at the NBA Finals earlier this week.
The 10-year-old was a hit in San Antonio when he sang Tuesday night. But then people started posting racist comments online, calling Sebastien De La Cruz an illegal immigrant and asking when he will be deported.
Sebastien was born and raised in San Antonio and his dad served in the Navy for 10 years.
According to Sebastien, "I think that the people who were talking bad was because of what I was wearing. And it's not my fault. It's what I love. And I'm just proud to be a mariachi singer. And... it's their opinion actually. And if they don't like mariachi, that's their problem. But I love it."
Sebastien isn't letting the comments hold him back. He just gave an encore performance of the national anthem at tonight's NBA game in San Antonio.
