DAYTON--Thanks to the giving spirit of a lot of local people, about 300 seniors will have a very Merry Christmas.
Volunteers raised money for gifts and today is the day to wrap them all up. It's part of the "Be A Santa to a Senior" program.
About 1,000 gifts will be given to some very deserving seniors.
"Really brings a lot of joy to them, for someone who might not be able to get any type of gift this season." said David Roediger.
Organizers say they're very grateful to the community for donating money for gifts to the program for the past eight years. They say more people were in need this year because of the economy.
