DAYTON -- Be careful out there.
Dayton Police are stepping up their enforcement of traffic laws in the I-75 construction zone, beginning Friday and continuing on various days through September.
As part of the Construction Zone High Visibility Enforcement grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Dayton Police Officers will increase enforcement of the construction zone on I-75 between mileposts 51.4 and 54.5 during business hours when traffic is at its heaviest.
Officers will be on the lookout for speed, lane change and following too closely violations as well as other aggressive driving actions. There will be âZero Toleranceâ enforcement; therefore, no warnings will be issued.
Navigating the construction zone is difficult enough without having to worry about other driversâ behaviors and distractions, police say, our officers will be on hand to help keep motorists and construction crews safe.
