UNDATED -- For people who don't have medical insurance, an ailment can turn into a burden and unpayable debt. Well, one clinic is helping people for free each and every day.
This week's Pay It Forward segment is the Health Partners Free Clinic.
The Health Partners Free Clinic in Troy provides medical services to the uninsured and underinsured at the best price there is.
Volunteer Coordinator Debbie Danielson notes,"they get medical care and diabetis supplies at no cost, whatever they need at no cost."
The top 3 things that they treat are hypertension, diabetes and COPD. They love not turnning away patients who really need the help due to any insurance regulations.
"With that being said, we cannot do several things because we do not have the funding."
But still, several donations, foundations and grands made all of this possible. And this service is free due to a lot of caring people.
The River Valley Credit Union has awarded the Health Partners Free Clinic for everything they've done, and they'll be paying it forward with a $250 donation.
