DAYTON -- A career fair, set for June 11, is all about empowering women.
The Empowering Women Career Fair is being held in conjunction with Montgomery Countyâs Workforce Development Division and the International Womenâs Ministerial Alliance. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 11, at noon at Sinclair Community College.
âFinding opportunities for employment and getting our economy back on track are top priorities for members of our community. Iâm proud to host this event in conjunction with Montgomery Countyâs Workforce Development Division and the International Womenâs Ministerial Alliance to help make that happen. This event will help improve the skills of area women seeking to start new jobs or advance their careers,â said Congressman Mike Turner.
The fair will have multiple education, training, and resource organizations that provide personal and professional development to residents. In addition, a number of area employers in attendance actively looking to hire area residents.
âMontgomery County is committed to working with our citizens so that they are better prepared for jobs now and in the future,â said Dan Foley, President of the Montgomery County Commission. âWe are hopeful that this targeted event will help women from our area secure a broad range of jobs.â
The fair will run from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 at The Great Hall of Sinclair Community College, 444 W. Third Street, Dayton.
