TIPP CITY -- We have new video from police cruisers of a chase that ended in a cemetery.
Butler Township Police say loss prevention officers at Walmart on York Commons spotted two men stealing Xboxes and DVDs. The first suspect was detained and placed in the Loss Prevention office. While in there, the suspect began fighting with the female officer, biting her at least three times. The detainee was then able to get out and run away.
The second suspect also fled from police inside the store.
Police say the two men met back up in the parking lot and jumped into a car they had stolen from Harrison Township earlier in the day.
Butler Township called in crews from Vandalia, who arrived on the scene first. After police arrived, the suspects reportedly rammed a Vandalia cruiser and the chase began. It went from York Commons up North Dixie and ended at a cemetery.
Nearby, Tipp City Schools were put on lockdown as a precaution during the search for the second suspect. After the man was caught, the lockdown was released and the children were sent home.
One suspect, Juan Bell, was apprehended quickly. The second suspect was found in a wooded area. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
