UPDATE: Two People Shot in Dayton

DAYTON -- Police are investigating a double shooting.

Dayton Police Sgt. Spiers tells us one of the victims was shot as many as five times. That man is in his early 20s.

Spiers says the man was shot twice in the chest, once in the chin, and had two other possible wounds.

Police have three active scenes. One is on Kammer at Westwood, another on Kammer and Bedford Avenue and a third on Lorenz Avenue.

Spiers says the shooting happened on Westwood, then one of the victims drove to Lorenz Avenue and the other walked to Bedford.

Police say it appears there was an exchange of gunfire between these two men.

Homicide detectives have been called to the scene because of the severe injuries for one of the victims. That man has been taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

The other victim was shot in the arm.



DAYTON -- Dayton police are on the scene of a shooting on Westwood Avenue near Kammer Avenue.  The victim is said to have at least two wounds, one to the head and one to the body.

Another person also called 911, saying they'd been hit by a stray bullet, but police say that may actually be a suspect in the shooting.
