WARREN COUNTY -- A county building was shut down after handling a letter caused a burning sensation in the hands of one worker.
Three workers were taken to the hospital to get checked out.
Warren County officials said the building, at 416 South East Street houses the Warren County Combined Health District, Warren County Department of Human Services and Warren County Children Services.
Fire officials said the letter didn't initially raise any suspicions because it was a return enveloped from a questionnaire the county had sent out to residents.
When she was opening the letter, a worker said she felt her hands start to burn. Two other women took her to the restroom to wash her hands. All three were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The building was evacuated and the workers were sent home for the day. the FBI was called in to help with the investigation.
