DAYTON -- Toys are always at the top of the Christmas list for kids, but now you don't have to buy new.
There's a web site that lets you trade with other parents.
"They get bored with toys pretty easily," said Julie Swain, mother of two.
So trading them online using a web site like "Toystotrade.com" could come in handy.
"Sharing with other moms and getting a variety for our kids for no money," said Swain.
She's heard about sites like this before, but never used it.
To sign up you just click on "I want to trade toys" or "I want to find toys."
You can also browse through by category or brand.
While Swain thinks the site is helpful she has some concerns.
"The biggest concern would be recalled products or broken products just that things won't be checked thoroughly before they're traded," she said.
If you're worried about the toys, you can check to make sure they haven't been recalled at saferproducts.gov.
"I've been trading with my sister and my cousin for years," said Laura Miracle, mother of one.
While she trades with her family, she's also found some great deals online for her two-year-old daughter.
"We managed to get two outside toys, playsets for the yard for very, very reasonable prices," she said.
As a trader, Miracle as a bit of advice.
"I would research online the toys and make sure that they are nice and maybe go see it before you buy it so that way you know that you are getting what you are requesting and you know that it does work and it's in good condition," said Miracle.
