RIVERSIDE -- A group of students from Stebbins High School spent the day, not in class, but doing some Christmas shopping for local needy families.
Members of the Stebbins High School Student Senate shopped the aisles of the local K-Mart store looking for the perfect Christmas gifts. The students have spent the school year fundraising in order to buy presents for 250 families who otherwise wouldn't have much of a Christmas.
"I think knowing that some might not get much for Christmas or maybe nothing at all and now that they can wake up and that Santa had brought them gifts is just going to be really nice and hopefully they're all happy Christmas morning.'', Kayla Mucie, from Stebbins High School told us.
The shopping trip is a 30 year tradition at Stebbins.
