WPAFB -- The Pentagon has now reduced the number of furlough says from 14 to 11, which is exactly half the original amount of days without pay workers were facing.
13,000 civilian employees at Wright Patterson Air Force Base will now be required to take one day off a week with no pay beginning the week of July 8th. The furloughs will run through the end of September. The furloughs, which will affect 800,000 folks nationwide are due to mandatory federal budget cuts.
