BEAVERCREEK -- A police officer received on Dec. 6 a Law Enforcement Officer of the Year award from the Miami Valley Crime Stoppers to recognize her community-oriented policing efforts.
The Beavercreek Police Department says Officer Charmaine Hall joined the department in 1996 and has been dedicated to helping the community and organizing projects to better serve citizens.
Those projects have included Thanksgiving meals and Christmas presents for the disadvantaged and mentoring youths she has encountered through our juvenile justice system.
Hall was instrumental in establishing the now annual safety days event at the Mall at Fairfield Commons. This program focuses on fingerprinting children and presenting safety programs.
"Hallâs assigned district encompasses the largest retail concentration in the city and she has also done an excellent job of networking with these businesses and fostering relationships which in turn benefit the community projects," a department statement reads. "Hall is an exemplary officer and positive role model for the Beavercreek Police Department. Her dedication and willingness to make our community better is what sets her apart."
