Some Cancellations at Urban Nights Due to Rain

Dayton -- DowntownDayton Partnership have announced Urban Nights event cancellations due to the rain, however many of the events still going on as planned.

Arts Corner on St.Clair and Fourth Streets has been moved indoors. The activities on Riverscape are still going as planned. Live on Five on Fifth and Pine Streets in the Oregon District are still a go and Streamroller Printmaking. Wright - Dunbar Businss Village Entertainment will also host live Gospel, R&B and Jazz.

The events that are officially cancelled are International Street, Urban Bikes and Urban Nights and Green Fest.

Downtown Dayton Partnership planned for bad weather and still encourage you to come out and check out what downtown has to offer.

"Well we looked at the ten day forecast and you know it's looked like this for ten days and we always hope that it gets moved up or back to the next day so when it actually rains we just have to go from there and do what we can to get people out into businesses to enjoy the event even though there won't be performances on the street," said Krystal Luketic, special events coordinator for Downtown Dayton Partnership

Urban Nights runs until 10 Friday night.   Live music from local bands is planned here in the Oregon District all night long.  There are also a number of food trucks set up on Riverscape. Various restaurants offering specials and activities for the kids. so if you have no plans come on out but make sure you pack an umbrella.
