Suspects Break In to Pharmacy Through Roof Air Conditioning Unit

DAYTON -- Police are looking for two people who broke into the Linden Avenue CVS pharmacy overnight.

Dayton Police responded after the pharmacy's alarm company reported seeing surveillance video showing two suspects in the building about 4:10 a.m. Thursday.

The alarm company described at least one suspect as wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and black boots. The second suspect's description was not reported in the police incident report.

The alarm company said the suspects left before police arrived.

Police arrived on scene but couldn't find any unlocked doors or evidence of forced entry, so they called the Dayton Fire Department, who responded with a ladder truck. Police used this to get on the pharmacy's roof. There, they said they found three damaged air conditioning units, one of which was "clearly the point of entry."

A store manager told police he didn't notice anything missing at first glance. Police will get a copy of the surveillance video to help identify the suspects.
