KETTERING--The disappearance of  Erica Baker from a Kettering park has gripped the Miami Valley for 14 years.

With the remarkable news of the missing Cleveland girls being found,  Erica' s mother talked about  the hope  to find  Erica alive.

"Everyday I wake up,  thinking where is she?" Misty baker said.

Misty has been watching the coverage of three  missing women who were found alive in Cleveland.
The coverage  brings a flood of emotions for Misty.

"In my heart,  there is always the hope that  one  day she'll walk through the door."

Erica Baker was 9 years old when she was last seen. She was walking her dog near Indian Riffle Park on February 7,  1999.

Investigators believe  Erica was hit by a van driven by  Christian Gabriel.  Investigators said  Gabriel confessed and  said he disposed of  Erica's  body , but said he can't remember where.

"In the back of my mind, I think  maybe he's lying, and  that's why he doesn't remember. " Misty said.  "And she'll be back  just like  one of these  Cleveland girls. "

Gabriel served 6 years and was released in 2011. Erica's body has never been found.

"There's never been anything to prove to me that she's not coming home." Misty said.

Erica would be 23 years old today and Misty said someone out there  can still  give her answers.

"If a tip came in today,  I would love it."

Like the Cleveland girls,  Misty is  hoping there still might be a  miracle for Erica as well.

"I would love for her to fight her way home."
