HARRISON TOWNSHIP-- Family and friends mourned the loss of 6-year-old Darrell Robinson Thursday night with a candlielight vigil.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the accident, and trying to figure out exactly what happened.
But for family and friends, it was emotional as they remembered the little boy they called "Little D."
"A vibrant little boy, with a lot of energy, all boy, he can talk anything you want, football any thing, he's a loving child," Yolanda Hunter, family friend.
And love from the community is being felt through the messages left for him on a poster board, and his growing memorial. It's something they hope will help the family heal.
"We have our ups and downs of course this is a difficult situation for everyone I've tried to be as much of an anchor as I can," Hunter said.
Darrell Robinson was just six years old.
He was killed Wednesday night after he fell out of a car while it was still moving.
Neighbors in the apartments rushed to help him.
Thursday night, they rushed to comfort Little D's grieving mother.
"I've been there since day one with all four of them," said Hunter, "There's four children total I've been there since day one, I'll be there till the end."
As the grieving family, and community honors his memory, they have just one more message for the little boy who touched their lives for 6 short years.
"I love you D, you're my baby and will always be my baby and I miss you dearly," said Hunter.
Investigators are still working out the details of what happened last night.
The family tells me Darrell's school has offered to help them pay for the funeral.
