MEDWAY -- A man was arrested Saturday after assaulting his girlfriend at a VFW and her home, according to a Probable Cause Affidavit.
Christopher Sine and his girlfriend were at the VFW on Lake Road near Medway when they began arguing, Clark County Sheriff's deputies said.
They were asked by a bartender to leave, when according to witnesses, Sine grabbed the woman by her hair and led her to her van in the parking lot.
The woman told deputies Sine assaulted her in the van for about 45 minutes before Sine drove them to her house, where he again punched and kicked her.
She told deputies she was beaten to the point of twice losing consciousness. He also stood her up and held a kitchen knife to her throat, telling her he was going to kill her, she said.
He eventually put down the knife and she was able to force him out of her house and lock the door. She said he told her then he would return with a gun and kill her.
Deputies found Sine at a nearby bar and arrested him, charging him with felonious assault and aggravated menacing. He was booked into the Clark County Jail.
He was scheduled to be arraigned today.
