DAYTON -- A beloved former University of Dayton music professor gets coaxed out of retirement for at least one day.
George Zimmerman began teaching music at UD in 1978. Zimmermaqn also hosted a local TV show, highlighting his cooking skills. The show was also sprinkled with life lessons.
Friday morning, Zimmerman was able to catch up with colleagues and took a trip down memory lane by checking out his old classroom.
"This was the room...104. It's indelibly locked in my head.", Zimmerman told us today.
This trip down memory lane for Zimmerman was sparked by UD students talking to him about his history, and asking him to return. In turn, Bethany Village, the retirement home where Zimmerman lives, granted his wish.
