DAYTON -- With Black Friday over and Cyber Monday nearing, Saturday was for Main Street.
Dozens of businesses across the Miami Valley took part in Small Business Saturday. Many local shops, like Brim in the Oregon District, offered discounts to customers. Brim's owner says the shop had a great day and saw a lot of new faces. "Retails really booming down here and to get that exposure and get people to come down here and remember we're still here everyday of the year," said Amelia O'Dowd.
This is the third year for Small Business Saturday. It's championed by the Small Business Administration. According to the SBA, last year on Small Business Saturday, 100 million people shopped at small businesses.
