TROY -- A local woman who was very near the Boston Marathon bombings, is now back in the Miami Valley and back to work.
We caught up with Nicki Luse at Up and Running in Troy. Nicki spoke with us on Monday from Boston just hours after the bombings. She was there cheering on her sister and other local runners who she knew from the store.
Luse says she was just blocks away from the finish line when she heard the explosions.
"We heard a big boom, but you're in a big city and there's a lot of commotion going on.'', Luse tells us, ''Ten seconds later we heard another one and we kind of kept walking and came to an intersection and that was Boylston and then we saw the chaos and we didn't know what was happening, just a lot of panicked people."
Nicki says she feels very fortunate that her family and friends are all safe and sound, but is heartbroken for those who were killed and injured.
