Mom Home with Kids during Home Invasion

UPDATE: DAYTON--A Dayton mother and her three children hide from intruders during a burglary.

The home invasion happened on Tuesday on North Trenton Drive.

"Me and my kids,  we were both scared." The single mom said. She doesn't want to be identified.

She was upstairs when she heard her glass door shatter. She quickly gathered  her three children  and they  hid behind her  bed  and she  called 911.

She heard the thieves downstairs.  The  intruders came in through her kitchen door  and stole her purse, a cell phone and her flat screen TV in her living room, and then  they headed up stairs.

"Oh my God, somebody's upstairs. Oh God, Oh my God." She told the 911 dispatcher.

" I need you to tell me what you hear as you hear it ,  okay?  I'm right here with ya."  The dispatcher told her.

The mom said she was trying to keep her  kids calm and quiet.   Her bedroom  door had a simple lock on it,  but  she was  still  terrified  when  she knew the intruder  was just  outside her door.

"I just saw an eye look through  my door.  It was terrifying. He didn't  force his way through the door,  thank God."

The thieves then left out her front  door.

Police located an empty car, they believe may be connected to the break-in, but so far, no arrests have been made.

"They need to be caught. they need to be put in jail." The mother said.
