MIAMI TWP. -- Two men led police on a chase overnight through three cities. The pursuit reached speed of more than 100 mph before ending at an apartment complex, where one suspect was arrested.
Police say it all started about 7 p.m. Sunday during a misdemeanor traffic stop.
The same car was seen running a red light about 2 a.m. Monday. Police attempted a traffic stop but they say the car took off, fleeing on I-75 southbound at speeds in excess of 100 mph. The got off the highway at the Franklin exit, where Franklin Police joined the pursuit, which led back north through Miamisburg.
The chase ended at the Miami Township apartment complex, where the suspects fled on foot.
One was eventually arrested. The other remains at large.
Police said they found a safe and an Airsoft pistol in the car. The safe is suspected to contain drugs.
Both men likely face failure to comply and drug charges.
