DAYTON -- One man is under arrest after police say he lead them on a short chase late Friday night.
Police say there was a report of shots fired in the area of Edison and Lorenz around 6:30pm. No one was hit by the gunfire, but officers were given a description of the car invovled. An officer spotted that car hours later in the area of the DeSoto Bass Housing Project.
Officers say the car took off and a short chase ensued past Dunbar High School, finally ending on Dennison Avenue. During the chase, police say they driver tossed a gun, which was recovered. The driver then surrendered and was arrested.
