DAYTON -- The family of former Moraine Mayor Bob Rosencrans honored his memory today by hosting a blood drive -- the third annual drive in his name -- at the Community Blood Center in downtown Dayton.
Rosenscrans was 61 when he was killed in a traffic crash on October 15, 2010.
Rosencrans' daughter Megan said they wanted to do something to honor the man who donated blood more than 70 times during his life.
"We didn't want it to be a one-time thing," Megan Rosencrans said about the memorial blood drive.
The drive continues today until 6 p.m. at the Dayton Community Blood Center, 349 S. Main Street.
