FAIRBORN -- Baker Middle School again was placed on lockdown because of a reported threat written in a restroom.
Fairborn City Schools released a statement that said a student found and reported the threat about 11 a.m. Wednesday.
"As a precautionary measure, the Fairborn Police Department was contacted, and officers searched the premises along with canines to make sure that students were safe," a press release stated. "This is standard procedure that occurs with various situations involving 'stay-in-place' or lockdowns."
School officials said they believe the threats are a prank but are considered serious and could be prosecuted by law enforcement. Officials encourage parents to discuss with their children the dangers of these pranks.
