DAYTON -- Kroger gives back big to ease hunger in the Miami Valley. The Cincinnati based grocery store chain presented a check to Dayton's Food Bank Thursday that will cover more than 130,000 meals.
In the last quarter, Kroger was able to raise more than $17,000 through their Fill the Box campaign.
"We have 132,000 food insecure individuals, so this donation today represents at least one meal for every food insecure individual and we thank you very much.", Rosemary Dannin, from the Dayton Foodbank said.
Kroger made it a point to thank both customers and employees for making the donation possible.
