PIQUA -- Police arrested a man suspected of robbing the Main Source Bank on West High Street on Tuesday afternoon. Thirty-year-old Eric Smith was arrested Tuesday night.
Police say Smith claimed he had a gun, but never showed it. He then demanded money and ran out the door.
Police say the robber was bold to rob the bank in broad daylight.
"It was pretty bold to do something like that in the middle of the day, although thinking about running away on a cold rainy day with a hood up over your head I don't think it would have necessarily attracted a lot of attention," said Piqua Police Chief Bruce Jamison.
Smith is now facing an aggravated robbery charge.
