XENIA TOWNSHIP -- A half-million dollar home in Xenia Township is destroyed by fire. Firefighters say the blaze broke out Monday morning in the home's garage and then spread to the main structure.
Fire crews say they had a tough time putting out this particular fire because the home sits so far back from the road
"We did have some water supply issues due to the long driveway and having to tank in our water from other jurisdictions.", Lt. Brian Miller of the Xenia Township Fire Department said.
The homeowner was able to make it out of the home safely with her pet. The State Fire Marshal's office has been called in to investigate what caused the fire.
