SPRINGFIELD -- A man is dead after a two car crash in Springfield, Saturday afternoon.
It happened at the intersection of West North Street and North Western Avenue.
The driver of the SUV was pinned underneath it and he died at the scene.
The woman in the gray car was thrown to the ground and she was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police say this accident is a stern reminder to drive safe this holiday.
Springfield Police Sergeant Doug Pergram said, "Slow down pay attention to what you're doing, stay off the cell phones, just pay attention"
