UNDATED -- Two local school districts are hoping for the best outcome after their levy recounts. Milton Union schools were just nine votes short of passing their school levy last month.
The measure was 14 votes behind on election night then provisional ballots cut it down to only nine. Since the vote was so close, a recount is now underway at the Miami County Board of Elections. They started counting Monday morning and plan to finish up tomorrow.
Beavercreek's school levy is also getting a second look. Beavercreek City Schools' 6.7 mil levy failed by just 113 votes out of 30,000 last month; making a recount mandatory. It's scheduled to start tomorrow morning.
