MIAMISBURG -- The 47 cats that were removed from a Lindsey Avenue home have been moved to a warehouse where they are being care for.
Humane Society workers used respirators on Thursday to rescue the cats from the Miamisburg home after police receiving a tip about the home.
According to the Humane Society, the homeowner wasn't living at the home and the house had only a bed inside but no other furniture.
Police don't know yet whether the homeowner will face any charges. Reportedly, the homeowner had seen hoarding cases on TV but never expected something like this to happen.
ABC 22/FOX 45 also has learned that this isn't the first cat-hoarding incident on that street. The house across the street, which is a sister's house, had the same problems about five years ago, when 80 cats were found to be living there.
