FAIRBORN--For the second time in a week, a driver lost control on snow-slicked roads and crashed into a state highway patrol cruiser.
It happened on southbound I-675 just outside of Fairborn.
Dispatchers say a semi slid on the ice, hit another car; and then that car smashed into the cruiser.
The trooper inside that cruiser was not seriously injured.
We spoke with another trooper who recently had a similar close call.
"It's a dangerous job and we know it, but when we're dealing with dangerous situations, cars flying by is a dangerous and it makes it even more dangerous for us," said Sergeant Jeff Kramer from the Dayton Post.
Sgt. Kramer's cruiser got hit during the ice storm a couple of weeks ago.
