DAYTON--Local clergy are working with law enforcement to reduce gun violence.
Today they all met for the first time this year to discuss how the the faith community can support victims of violence.
The chief says he's hoping more members of the clergy will develop stronger relationships with officers.
"For both of these professions; it's not where you come just for a job. It has to be a calling. I think we have a common path that we walk and it we should do that together. It's really soul work that we're both doing," said Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl.
The group will continue to meet over the next couple of months. After that, a new group will go through the class.
