WASHINGTON DC -- There are just three days left until automatic sequestration spending cuts go into effect.
On Tuesday, Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner demanded, in colorful language, that the President and Senate Democrats come up with less harmful cuts.
"We have moved a bill in the House twice. We should not have to move a third bill before the Senate gets off their a** and begins to do something.'', Speaker Boehner said today, ''I don't think the President's focused on trying to find a solution to the sequester. The President has been traveling all over the country and today going down to Newport News in order to use our military men and women as a prop in yet another campaign rally.''
The $85 billion in cuts would have a major impact here in the Miami Valley, specifically at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where 13,000 civilian employees could be furloughed.
