BEAVERCREEK -- It can be easy to forget about our men and women serving overseas, fighting for our freedom. But the Beavercreek Fire Department is making sure we don't.
They once again kicked off their Heroes Supporting Heroes campaign. The fire department is collecting non-perishable food and sweet treats like cookies, candy and other snacks to send our troops serving in remote locations.
Firefighters say that troops often don't get many of the tasty comforts of home. If you would like to donate to Heroes Helping Heroes you can drop off items at any Beavercreek fire station until March 11.
