DAYTON -- Ohio Department of Transportation crews are getting ready for bad roads, while Dayton Power and Light crews are getting ready for possible power outages.

DP&L started planning for this winter storm and the ice that's coming with on Monday.  Their workers were out Thursday making sure their trucks were loaded up and ready to go at a moment's notice.

"Tomorrow we've actually doubled our staffing in the field'', Bruce Coppock, DP&L Director of Operations told us, ''we'll have 400 folks in the field working to restore power if we do have an event. On the inside we have close to 200 folks, engineers, dispatchers folks answering the phone that will be inside working around the clock."

DP&L officials say it's a good idea to have perishable foods, water, batteries and blankets on hand in case the power goes out.

If you do have an outage, call DP&L first, but the company is also encouraging customers to use social medial sites, like Facebook and Twitter.
