DAYTON--Oakwood Police have arrested the man they believe has is responsible for a rash of burglaries.
The burglaries have been reported at vacant homes in Kettering and Oakwood. Police say copper and other metals were taken.
Officers have now arrested Christopher Joseph Knox, 37, for the break-ins. He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
Knox is currently charged with burglary, but more charges may be coming. Investigators say the case is still ongoing.
Montgomery County Prosecutor Matt Heck had this to say about the investigation,
"I want to commend both the Oakwood and Kettering Police Departments for their joint investigative work in this case. Vacant homes are always a concern but they become a much larger problem when thousands of dollars in damage occur in addition to the value of the copper."
