CENTERVILLE-- A local civic organization that brings joy to sick kids, was the victim of a theft.
The Antioch Shrine Temple reported their mini 18-wheeler, stolen last week.
Jerry Jamieson, Recorder, at the Antioch Shine Temple said it was taken from a parking lot in Centerville on 725 and Compark Drive.
Jamieson said the Shriners use it over a dozen times a year for parades.
"It's a huge hit with kids." He said.
The red, mini semi is only about 10 feet long and its very distinct, with "Antioch" on the front and side.
The mini semi is worth nearly 7 thousand dollars.
Jamieson said it was inside a trailer, that was also stolen .
"It's disheartening that someone would take the thing." He said.
Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to call Centerville police.
