UPDATE--Investigators say it appears that the fire was set intentionally. Firefighters had to keep those flames from spreading to the two homes next door.
"The integrity of the vacant house was such that we were not able to go in and put it out, so that's why your cameras saw, we let the roof burn, that's called a tactical burn," said Dayton Fire Chief Scott Rowlett.
The vacant house is a complete loss and will be demolished by the city of Dayton.

The Dayton Fire Department reported heavy fire to a 2-story wood frame structure about 9:20 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., the Fire Department reported taking defensive operations.
