TROY -- Police have identified the man they shot Tuesday morning after a disturbance at an apartment building.
Police say Kenny Coleman, 31, was shot in the leg by an officer after they say he came out of the apartment complex with a knife.
According to Troy police, officers responded before noon Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, to the disturbance at 1065 Mayfield Drive. Police say after numerous verbal commands to "drop the weapon" officers shot the African American man in his leg.
He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Police have not indicated what charges might be filed against Coleman and they have not provided details about the disturbance that precipitated the response by police.
