Darke Deputies Find Two Suspected Meth Labs Miles Apart

DARKE COUNTY -- Sheriff's deputies responded to two suspected meth labs on Thursday in Darke County, which led to the arrest of one man.

The Darke County Sheriff's Office and Ansonia Fire Department was called out to the 14500 block of Beisner Road near Ansonia about 1:05 a.m. Thursday for a ditch fire.

Once there they said they discovered items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

About 10 p.m. Thursday, Deputies responded a few miles away to 9690 Greenville-St. Marys Road, near Versailles to serve a misdemeanor arrest warrant on Edward Dingman Jr., 39.

There, deputies said they also found materials to manufacture meth.

Dingman was arrested on the warrant and a drug charge has not been filed, pending results from lab results on the suspected meth.

Deputies said they don't know if the two incidents are related.
