CARLISLE -- Duke Energy is fixing the gas leak and any potential danger has passed, Carlisle Fire officials have told us.
The few people that were evacuated from four homes near the leak area allowed to go back home after a city worker smelled gas, which a utility crew determined was coming from a buries copper pipe.

CARLISLE -- An active gas leak has been reported on Willard Avenue near Dayton-Oxford Road.
Authorities have evacuated homes in the area and area schools have been advised to not drop off students nearby.
As of 3:18 p.m., scanner traffic indicated Duke Energy had arrived on scene.
