EATON- A semi-truck driver is hospitalized after crashing his truck into a home.
Police said the semi-truck driver had some kind of medical issue, that caused him to lose control of his vehicle. Police said he blew through a stop sign, and crashed into a home in the 300 block of West Main Street.
"He was very disoriented. He wasn't sure what happened. Thankfully he was only driving about 10 miles an hour, so it could've been much worse than it was." Eaton Police Chief Chad DePew said.
Amber Day lives across from the home, where the crash happened.
"I was home, and I heard a loud boom." She said. "I looked outside, and I saw this truck in their living room! "
Police said the damage to the home is significant, and an inspector was scheduled to come out to make sure its safe for the home-owners to stay in the home.
Day is thankful no one was hurt. "Oh they could've easily been killed."
The driver was taken to the hospital. Police said he'll be cited for failure to control his truck.
